In the fall of 1998, Jeremy Yaches and Jeremiah Zagar spent five months studying abroad in Israel. One day, while smoking contraband from Cuba on a beach in Herzliya, Jeremy's three-chambered baboon heart gave out. His chest buckled and he fell to the sand, saliva bubbling from his mouth.

Jeremiah sprang into action. He snatched a cell phone from the ear of a sunbathing beauty, hailed an ambulance, and shot a large dose of morphine into his friend's neck.

Jeremy managed to tame his heart ailment and the two have been making movies under the Herzliya Films banner ever since.
